Nothing tried solely with the remote control worked. Here is what I did, and it is just a bit different from what has been previously published on this site. There may be other (more simple) solutions, but this is how I got my LG DVD Player DV392H to be Region Free. ![]() I downloaded the file to my desktop on my computer running Mac OS 10.6.3 but could not for some reason on my computer that runs Mac OS 10.5.8 2.ĭownload the file titled KPCJ-19_1.dvd from The site is not in English so don’t be surprised. Create a new folder on desktop and give it the name: SCARLET 3. Put the downloaded file (KPCJ-19_1.dvd) into the folder created in step 2 (SCARLET). Create another new folder on desktop and give it the name: RMTM0000 5. Place the folder titled SCARLET (that contains KPCJ-19_1.dvd) into the folder created in step 4 (RMTM0000) 6. Burn the folder (RMTM0000) on a new CD-R. I did not burn it in ISO format as is instructed in another post on this site. Run the CD-R in the LG DVD Player DV392H. When the menu appears, select 0 for the DVD player to be reset to Region Free. Region code hack posted by Nawaar, May 12 2015: Press the PAUSE button on the remote control to save the new setting. If anyone is interested, I bought my LG DV392H DVD Player in 2008, at a Game in Cape Town, and Jughead_CT solution worked for me when I finally tried it today. I'm just posting this now, incase anyone is looking for current info.
